ABOUT

I was born innocent, forced to become a fighter and chose to be a warrior…

In 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer, and began my new journey, consisting of 2 years of surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. After 72 chemotherapy treatments, 88 radiation treatments; in 2016 I was officially declared cancer free…and still am!

While in recovery, the summer of 2015 I fulfilled my dream of becoming a Yoga Teacher, at the Radiant Heart Yoga School, Yoga Bohemia, Beach Haven, NJ under the teachings of Crystal Dawn Forberg, Katie Ribsam, and Loren Russo. Becoming a certified Yoga teacher by the Radiant Heart YTT 200hr. Vinyasa Flow. It was here in this adorable studio, with beautiful souls when I discovered inner light, and love. I am forever grateful for the wisdom and I gained from their teachings. Most of all their love and acceptance.

After teacher training graduation I followed my heart's calling and enrolled in Yoga for Breast Cancer Recovery & Beyond© with Camille Kittrell. Furthering my studies by attending forums on breast cancer issues, led by oncologists, plastic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists, and social workers. While also learning a medically-approved Lymphedema Training.

Continuing with more education I enrolled in yet another teacher training for Breast Cancer Yoga, with Angela Strynkowski E-RYT 500 at Jewel in the Lotus Yoga. Here in this sacred space I discovered healing and freedom were within my own body through the practice of yoga.

From the day I met my first teacher, Jenn McConnell my life changed forever, as if it were meant to be. My heart is filled with love every time I reflect on this experience. I will forever keep Jenn in my heart, as it was she who inspired me greatly to become a teacher. Jenn helped me out of my comfort zones to discover healing and bliss, even when bliss seemed untraceable.

Through daily life and my own yoga practice I have come to realize that it’s taking the practice off the mat that truly opened my eyes to what kind of life I wanted to lead. One which fills my heart & soul and pays the bills! Allowing me to have a life of wellness and service to others.

In the summer of 2016, I completed my Reiki I & II training under Malia Murphy and have been blessed to use my energy & light for the  healing of others, while also continuing to become a Reiki Master.

I will always extend deep gratitude to ALL my teachers, past, present and future

Continuing training's on a regular basis I have also designed yoga practices not only for Breast Cancer recovery, but also for those with Arthritis, and Multiple Sclerosis to honor the body and awaken our souls. Encouraging students to go deeper beneath their surface to unite, connect and awaken the body mind and spirit. Using creativity applying this to my Yoga classes, while focusing on fluid movements with foundation asanas all supported by steady breath flow. I believe learning to utilize one's breath, you can get through any challenge life has to offer.

There is a time for strength and focus,

as well as a time to let go and surrender.

When I not teaching yoga, you can find me doing something creative, like taking pictures, gardening, cooking, spending time outdoors, thrift shopping, giving hugs & spending time with my puppies and loved ones, or simply giving back to my community.
